Improvements to Zoho Support interface

The Zoho team are applying a more consistent look and feel across all their products this year. The latest to receive a facelift is Zoho Support.

Zoho have made a number of usability improvements to try to cut down on scrolling, keeping key content above the fold. Compact layouts tend to make a big different in support applications where the user may be on a call at the same time.

Next up, Zoho promise to add the ability to open support tickets with a tweet.

KashFlow and GoCardless join forces

Small business owners have a new alternative to merchant accounts thanks to GoCardless. This cloud service retrieves money from UK bank accounts via the Direct Debit system, although it’s not yet particularly user friendly to non-technical users.

KashFlow now offer GoCardless as an integrated payment processor at the invoicing stage, taking away the need for the testing and customisation that makes it off-putting. Clients can also authorise payments ahead of time, allowing the supplier to charge their account with a click. The service is likely to delight anyone who struggles with late payers, or any company wary of PayPal’s policies.

Automatic sales leads import in iComplete

The iCompleteCRM accepts new sales leads directly from web-based forms. Typically, you’d expect to use this feature to hook up your website contact form to iCompleteCRM, saving valuable time in importing that lead from email to the CRM. Now, iComplete also sends automated responses to people who submit the form, saving you time on that initial response or confirmation. There is a rather odd nominal fee of 1p per acknowledgement email, except where the customer is subscribed to an emarketing plan.
